Formación

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and manage incoming emails related to dispatch orders.
• Schedule and confirm appointments at port terminals.
• Track and monitor drivers throughout the day for on-time deliveries.
• Communicate proactively with drivers and customers regarding changes.
• Dispatch drivers and electronically send all required paperwork (BOLs, delivery orders, etc.).
• Track and monitor drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate delays or changes to drivers, terminals, and customers.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Container Drayage Dispatcher to manage daily dispatch operations for port and customer deliveries. This role is critical to ensuring smooth communication between drivers, port terminals, and customers while maintaining accurate records and resolving issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage incoming emails related to dispatch orders, terminal updates, and customer requests
• Enter dispatch orders accurately into the dispatch/TMS system
• Check driver availability and confirm daily assignments
• Schedule and confirm appointments at port terminals and customer receiving locations
• Dispatch drivers and electronically send all required paperwork (BOLs, delivery orders, instructions, etc.)
• Track and monitor drivers throughout the day to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Communicate proactively with drivers, terminals, and customers regarding delays or changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as appointment changes, terminal delays, equipment issues, or delivery problems
• Maintain organized records of dispatch activity and completed moves
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and customer requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Experience in container drayage dispatch or port-related trucking
• Strong communication skills (email, phone, driver coordination)
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with dispatch systems, TMS platforms, and email-based workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and documentation
• Knowledge of port terminals, appointments, and drayage operations.
