Job summary

Machina Labs is seeking a Director of Defense Business Development – Europe & Middle East to establish and grow our presence with European defense primes. This is not a traditional sales role; you will collaborate with engineers, program leaders, manufacturing teams, and executives to translate opportunities into technical engagements and production programs.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation with engineering background.
• Experience in business development, capture, program leadership, or other customer-facing roles.
• Deep understanding of missile/hypersonic/strike or related aerospace/defense tech.
• Experience building business with European defense primes.

Responsibilities

• Build Machina’s business across the European defense market with initial focus on primes and programs.
• Identify programs and technical problems, convert into POCs, qualifications, and production.
• Develop account and market strategy for Europe and strategic investments.
• Establish relationships across engineering, program, manufacturing, and leadership at target customers.
• Serve as Machina’s eyes and ears in the region, shaping long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with U.S. BD, engineering, and manufacturing to move opportunities to production.
