Job summary

Cloudstaff is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst for our Bogotá, Colombia office. This role focuses on processing payments, reconciling AP data, and ensuring compliance with financial policies in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

The ideal candidate has 6 months of AP experience, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and a detail-oriented approach to routine bookkeeping tasks. Hybrid or flexible options may apply, with emphasis on accurate, timely postings.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• At least 6 months accounts payable experience.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and MS Office applications.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Full cycle AP background.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and recording AP data.
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities.
• Coordinate and monitor daily accounts payable activities, following procedures and policies.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Monitor all payable activities regularly.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Review AP aging to ensure compliance.
• Process adjustments and routine billing, purchasing, filing and data entry duties as needed.
• Assist with month-end closing and collect data for monthly metrics.
• Prepare bills, invoices and payments for posting to Accounting Software.
• Reconcile the AP aging tool to ensure that all payments are accounted for.

Role: Accounts Payable Analyst

Work Arrangement: Work from Office

Location: Colombia, Bogotá

Schedule: Morning Shift (8am - 5pm CST)

Job description:

• Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and recording AP data
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities.
• Coordinate and monitor daily accounts payable activities, following procedures and policies
• Perform account reconciliations
• Monitor all payable activities regularly
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Review AP aging to ensure compliance
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
• Perform routine billing, purchasing, filing and data entry duties as needed.
• Process adjustments
• Develop a recovery system and initiate payable efforts
• Assist with month-end closing
• Collect data and prepare monthly metrics
• Prepare bills, invoices and payments for posting to Accounting Software
• Reconcile the AP aging tool to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to calculate, enter and manage accounting figures and financial documentation
• Assist with 1099 management including Payroll

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Must have at least 6 months accounts payable experience
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Data entry skills
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access & Outlook
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience in customer service
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
• Must have at least 6 months accounts payable experience
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Full cycle AP background
