Monks is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, drive timely closes, and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance while supporting audits, reporting, and process improvements for a high-growth environment.

You will record transactions across AP, AR, payroll, and journals, prepare monthly reconciliations, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements. Strong English and ERP skills are required for this role at Monks in Bogotà, Colombia.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting practices.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Fluent written and verbal English.

Responsabilidades

• Record, classify, and reconcile transactions across AP, AR, payroll, and journals.
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for bank, vendors, customers, and GL accounts.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support tax filings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports under GAAP/IFRS.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and adjustments.
• Provide accurate data and variance insights for budgeting and forecasting.
• Partner with external auditors; prepare schedules and supporting documentation.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to finance policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
