Job summary

Gamma Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support key accounting and Record to Report activities in Colombia. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong controls, and align with global accounting standards.

The role collaborates with local and global Finance teams to drive process standardization and continuous improvement. The position involves a rigorous month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, tax

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred.
3–5+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, audit or shared services.

Responsibilities

Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across assigned accounts and trial balances.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, adjustments, and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP, statutory requirements and internal controls.
Support statutory reporting, tax compliance, external audits and SOX-related activities.
Manage and resolve accounting issues including intercompany and reconciliation items.
Collaborate with FP&A and regional finance teams across markets.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, automation and ERP optimization.
