Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Lead for Santiago de Chile to identify and develop business opportunities in the mining sector, leveraging environmental science to drive sustainable practices and ESG-aligned solutions.

The role collaborates with leadership and project teams to develop proposals, build client relationships, and deliver innovative environmental assessments, permitting, and risk management strategies for mining clients in Chile.

Qualifications

BS in Geology, Mining Engineering, Environmental Science or related engineering discipline.
Proven track record in business development and client relationships in mining.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting in mining.
International consulting experience and English/Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mining focusing on environmental science and sustainability.
Develop and maintain relationships with mining companies, regulators, and communities.
Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for environmental compliance, sustainability, and risk management.
Lead proposals and presentations for environmental impact assessments, permitting, and mine closure planning.
Support QA/QC procedures to meet project standards and client expectations.
Stay updated on ESG frameworks and sustainable mining practices.
