Job summary

Bechtel in Antofagasta, Chile, is seeking an experienced Project Controls Planner to support mining and metals projects. You will develop project schedules, update master schedules, and run what-if scenarios to keep the project on track.

You will apply Primavera tools, analyze constraints, and deliver status reports to management. The role requires a technical degree and extensive EPC scheduling experience in mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years in Project Controls.
• Experience in EPC planning, scheduling, control, and analysis in field and home office.
• Strong knowledge of mining EPC schedules and startup processes.
• Proficiency with Primavera, Primavera Risk Analysis, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth schedule analysis of contractor and master schedules and present mitigations.
• Update and maintain the project master schedule with correct relationships.
• Establish control milestones and monitor critical path.
• Issue alerts for changes affecting cost or deadline.
• Develop resource loading, level scheduling, and curves; align with project objectives.
• Collect schedule details from disciplines and resolve constraints.
• Develop and issue reports; support schedule recovery plans.
