Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Antofagasta, Chile seeks an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to develop and update project schedules for mining and metals work. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; international equivalent accepted.
• 8–10 years in Project Controls with focus on planning and scheduling, or 12–14 years without degree.
• Experience in planning & scheduling for EPC projects, with exposure to mining/industrial contexts.
• Ability to develop complete EPC schedules from scratch and manage master schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera tools and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth schedule analysis of contractor and master schedules; identify impacts and mitigation.
• Update and maintain the project master schedule; ensure correct scope and logic relationships.
• Establish control milestones and monitor project progress; enable early actions when needed.
• Issue alerts on changes in quantities or works that may affect cost and schedule.
• Develop, implement and maintain resource loading and schedule leveling; align manpower with disciplines.
• Collect schedule details from all disciplines; resolve constraints affecting timeline.
• Develop and issue reports; monitor critical path and prepare schedule impact documentation; assist recovery plans.
