Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Scheduler to join our Antofagasta project team. You will develop schedules, update the master plan, and run what-if scenarios to forecast outcomes supporting the project delivery.

You will ensure accurate logic and resource loading, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 8–14 years of experience in project controls with emphasis on scheduling,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience in Project Controls with an emphasis on planning and scheduling.
Experience in planning and scheduling for EPC projects in mining/industrial contexts.
Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, and startup processes.

Responsibilities

Perform in-depth schedule analysis of contractor schedules and the master schedule to identify impacts and mitigations.
Update and maintain the project master schedule with correct scope and logic.
Monitor milestones and critical path to ensure schedule performance.
Issue alerts of possible changes in quantities or works affecting cost and deadline.
Develop and maintain resource loading and schedule leveling; integrate manpower requirements.
Collect schedule details from all disciplines and contractors to resolve constraints.
Prepare and present schedule impact reports and recovery plans.
