Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler in Antofagasta to support mining and metals projects. You will prepare and update schedule data, perform what-if scenarios, and ensure integration of contractor and master schedules to meet project milestones.

Responsibilities include developing recovery plans, assessing subcontractor schedules, and applying standard unit hours and pricing. This role requires strong analytics and communication within a global project team.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling for EPC projects across field and home office.
• Advanced knowledge of mining industry engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and startup processes.
• Ability to develop complete EPC schedules from scratch.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and quantity determinations.
• Proficiency with Primavera, Primavera Risk Analysis and MS Office applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth schedule analysis of contractor and master schedules to identify impacts and mitigations.
• Update and maintain the project master schedule with correct logic and scope.
• Establish control milestones and review work activities to protect critical timelines.
• Issue alerts for potential changes in quantities or works affecting cost and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain resource loading and schedule leveling with manpower alignment.
• Collect schedule details from disciplines/contractors and resolve constraints.
• Prepare and present schedule impact reports and assist in recovery plan development.
