Akuo Group in Santiago, Chile, is seeking a Senior Power Originator to support its power sales strategy. The position focuses on origination, negotiation and structuring of PPAs for a strategic renewable project in Chile, with duties spanning market analysis, price projections and long-term investment inputs.

You will work closely with the local team in Chile and the Paris-based Market Business Unit to shape off-take strategies and revenues modelling for Chile and related markets.

Formación

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the energy sector.
• Direct experience in Corporate PPA negotiation and/or structuring.
• Strong understanding of electricity markets, market fundamentals and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to analyse price projections and market trends and connect them with financial modelling assumptions.
• Experience in Market/ Origination team or Project Finance with PPA topics, Utility sector, or Energy Procurement.

Responsabilidades

• Producing market analyses, including fundamentals, regulatory matters and price trends, to support investment decisions in Chile.
• Analysing market projections and translating them into inputs for financial modelling.
• Supporting the offtake strategy for Chilean projects, including a large-scale PV and BESS project.
• Prospecting, negotiating and structuring Corporate PPA and Utility PPA opportunities for Chilean projects.
• Defining and challenging the pricing of electricity sales offers.
• Leading revenues modelling for Chilean projects, including Corporate PPAs and market sales.

Job Description

Within Akuo’sMarket Business Unit, whichis responsible fornegotiating and implementing new strategies for selling the electricity generated by the Group’s power plants, you will play a key role in supporting Akuo’s activities in Chile.

This is a12-month temporary contract, based inSantiago, Chile.

Yourfirstprioritywill be tocontribute to the origination,negotiationand structuring of PPAs, especially forastrategic renewable energy project in Chile.
Your second prioritywillbetosupport the analysis of market trends, regulatorydevelopmentsandlong-termprice projections to feed Akuo’s investment decisions and financial models.

Yourresponsibilitieswillinclude:

You will work closely with the local team in Santiago and with the Market Business Unitbased in Paris.

Qualifications

You have solid experience in power markets, PPA structuring and renewable energy offtake mechanisms.

Youbring:

• Fluency inSpanishandEnglish.
• At least5 years of relevant experiencein the energy sector.
• Direct experience inCorporate PPA negotiation and/or structuring.
• Strong understanding of electricity markets, marketfundamentalsand regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to analyse price projections and market trends and connect them with financial modelling assumptions.
• Experience in one or more of the following environments:
• Market / Originationteam.
• Project Finance team with strong exposure to PPA topics.
• Utilitysector.
• Energy Procurement or Energy Sourcing team.

Previousexperience in theChilean energy marketwould be a strong advantage, but broaderLatinAmericaenergy market experiencemay also be considered.

You are recognised for your analytical mindset, commercial awareness, negotiationskillsand ability to work autonomously in an international environment.
