Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Développer des plannings détaillés pour chaque projet.
  • Surveiller et contrôler l'avancement des projets.
  • Générer des rapports de statut quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels.

Planning Engineer – PowerChina Chile | Renewable Energy | Based in María Elena / Calama

At Grafton Group, we are looking for a Planning Engineer for PowerChina Chile, to be part of a leading company in the renewable energy sector.

Job Objective

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning and monitoring the construction projects assigned, ensuring the alignment of activities with the company’s strategic goals. This role contributes to the achievement of project objectives on time and within scope, while ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to internal processes and regulations.

️ Main Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed schedules for each project, defining tasks, milestones, and deadlines with the technical team and senior management.
  • Create work programs with resource allocation, prioritization, and Baseline definition.
  • Monitor and control project progress, detect deviations, and propose corrective actions.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly status reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Analyze project progress data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Support the coordination and allocation of equipment, personnel, and other resources.
  • Ensure effective communication across planning, technical, and operational teams.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize planning and execution processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Support the Planning Manager in assigned tasks and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and dictionaries.
  • Lead rescheduling activities as required (acceleration/recovery), with PM and Planning Manager approval.
  • Perform any additional duties related to the planning area as assigned.
Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Construction or related fields).
  • Up to 3 years of experience in project planning/control, ideally in renewable energy or construction.
  • Knowledge of project planning tools and sector regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project (mandatory).
  • Intermediate Power BI skills (desirable).
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Availability to work in Calama under a 5x2 shift modality.
