Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead AI Factory Engineer to direct, constrain, and verify fleets of AI agents to produce shipped, correct, and maintainable code quickly. You will own architectural decisions and ensure correctness across outputs, while supervising planner, implementer, reviewer, and tester sub-agents.

This role emphasizes production code and verification pipelines. You will decompose work into specs, supervise agent output, and define acceptance criteria before integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to orchestrate multi-agent workflows.
• Experience building verification pipelines with tests and type checks.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design tradeoffs.
• Ability to write and ship production code independently.

Responsibilities

• Decompose work into specs and tasks that agents can execute.
• Supervise agent output, challenge decisions, and correct drift.
• Build verification into every loop with tests and linters.
• Define acceptance criteria to validate agent-generated work.
• Own architectural decisions and tradeoffs for correctness.
• Perform work by hand when needed to verify agent output.
• Tune the factory setup based on daily use and metrics.
• Report specs, tests, review outcomes, and production metrics.
