Capchase is hiring a Payment Operations Specialist to own daily payment operations, ensure accurate deal deployment, funding schedules, and reconciliation across currencies. You’ll work with Finance, Product, and Engineering to improve controls and automate workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations, payments, treasury, or another analytical, execution-focused role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity and a systems mindset.
• Strong ownership and independence.
• Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets and new platforms.
• Familiarity with US payment rails, including ACH and wire transfers.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Availability to work US Eastern/Central business hours.
• Spanish fluency is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and deploy approved deals with accurate financial details, documentation, payment schedules, and approvals.
• Execute and monitor vendor payouts, customer collections, refunds, and other money movement across rails and currencies.
• Perform daily cash and payment reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve failed or misapplied transactions.
• Independently manage time-sensitive priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting banking deadlines.
• Challenge unusual transactions and investigate suspicious instructions before processing.
• Identify root causes, assess impact, and drive resolution of operational issues.
• Understand the end-to-end lifecycle from deal origination through funding and repayment.
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale workflows using AI and modern tools.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve platform functionality and controls.
