BBA Consultants, based in Santiago, Chile, seeks a dynamic mining engineer and team leader to deliver quality consulting to our expanding client base in South America. You will report to the Engineering Manager and lead a team of mining engineers and geologists in Santiago, contributing to project design, planning, and business development.

The role blends technical project work, team leadership and cross‑discipline collaboration, with travel to Canada and abroad as needed and a strong emphasis

Formación

• University degree in mining engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining operations or consulting.
• Experience managing or leading a team.
• Experience in open-pit mining; underground mining experience would be a bonus.
• Familiar with mine design software (MineSight or Deswik).
• Present at our Santiago office at least three days per week.
• Ability to travel occasionally to Canada and abroad.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsabilidades

• Mine design, planning and cost estimation for development studies.
• Provide engineering support to mining operations.
• Supervise, mentor and coach team members and allocate resources.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Promote mining and geology services at professional events and groups.
• Develop new business relationships and lead or support proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with teams in Canada to share resources and grow service offerings.
