Job summary

Ria Money Transfer is expanding its digital payments capability across the Americas, including Chile, with a focus on optimizing acceptance, authorization rates, and cost across multiple markets. The role requires in-depth knowledge of regional schemes, regulatory considerations, and vendor management.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to drive scalable payment operations and new method rollouts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Payments or digital payments in Latin America.
• Strong knowledge of regional payment ecosystems and schemes.
• Analytical and quantitative skills with ability to translate data into recommendations.
• Experience with cost modeling, payments costs, and vendor pricing structures.

Responsibilities

• Own performance, cost, and reliability of digital payment acceptance across the Americas.
• Monitor and optimize authorization rates and processing costs.
• Analyze payment trends and competitive landscape to inform expansion.
• Support launch and expansion of payment methods in new markets.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface optimization opportunities.
• Source and evaluate new payment vendors and partners in the region.
• Maintain relationships with local acquirers, PSPs, card networks, and alternative providers.
• Provide expertise on payment rules, tax treatment, and regulatory frameworks.
• Act as liaison between Payments and Finance, Treasury, Product, Engineering, Legal.
• Lead incident response for digital payment operations and coordinate across time zones.
• Create and maintain scalable operational processes for payment operations.
