Job summary

Legrand in Switzerland is seeking an experienced service engineer responsible for on-site support of UPS systems at customers' premises in German-speaking Switzerland. You will install, commission, maintain, diagnose and repair UPS and battery systems, while coordinating with electricians and partners.

Strong focus on safety and a proactive service attitude are essential; travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

At least 5 years in technical field service / as a field service technician.
Good command of German and English or French.
Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering and ability to read electrical diagrams.
A systematic and independent approach to troubleshooting.
Strong focus on safety and quality.
A strong service ethic and enjoyment of direct customer contact.

Responsibilities

Install and commission UPS and battery systems.
Independent planning and execution of preventive maintenance, inspections, measurements.
Carrying out fault analyses and systematic fault diagnosis.
Troubleshoot and repair components on-site.
Coordinate with electricians, partner companies and customer contacts.
Provide on-site customer training and guidance on system operation.
Support installation projects, conversions, modernisations and expansions.
Document work and prepare service/work reports.
Travel within German-speaking Switzerland; occasional assignments in French-speaking regions.
