Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service professional to perform technical tasks at customer sites in the medium- and low-voltage sector and deliver high-quality service daily. You will plan and execute service work based on customer orders, ensure timelines, quality and safety, and communicate effectively with customers about service expectations.

Willingness to travel extensively across Switzerland and availability for on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an electrician or automation technician with several years of experience.
• Solid expertise in electrical and automation technology and operating mechanical equipment.
• Strong process affinity and ability to work within defined workflows.
• Excellent communication and customer-oriented skills.
• High quality awareness, personal responsibility, flexibility and resilience.
• Proficient in MS Office; willingness to travel extensively and on-call across Switzerland.
• Fluent in German; basic English; French a plus; valid Swiss category B driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performing technical tasks at customer sites in the medium- and low-voltage sector
• Ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets in collaboration with the service project management and field service leadership
• Communicating necessary changes according to quality assurance standards, comply with work instructions, regulations, and safety standards, and submit time reports and expenses
• Informing customers about the service offerings of ABB and support the acquisition of additional service orders
