Job summary

Kempinski Hotels in St. Moritz invites an experienced Sommelier/Chef de Rang to join our luxury restaurant team for the 2026/27 winter season. You will lead wine service, coordinate pairings with menus, and deliver exemplary guest experiences in a five-star setting.

Experience in upscale gastronomy, certified sommelier credentials, and fluency in German and English are required. Seasonal full-time role with opportunities for training and advancement within Kempinski Hotels.

Qualifications

• Candidates with completed training in a comparable hotel and several years of experience in upscale gastronomy.
• Strong knowledge of wine service and winemaking.
• Excellent knowledge of grapes and varieties.
• Fluency in German and English is required; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell and recommend wines to guests and manage wine cellar stock.
• Conduct monthly inventories and update wine lists.
• Organize wine tastings and coordinate with kitchen for wine pairings.
• Assist with breakfast service and evening à la carte service.
• Provide welcoming guest service and guest relations.
• Maintain relationships with winegrowers and merchants.
• Train team members on wine service and standards.
