Job summary

Try&Hire in Geneva is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to manage a large global server infrastructure on-site. You will design automation, implement monitoring, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability and resilience.

You will work with Linux internals, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Python, Prometheus, and Grafana to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure. The role starts with 3–6 months interim and may become permanent.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Linux internals and kernel tuning.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Proficiency in Python for automation.
• Ability to design highly available distributed systems.
• Hands-on monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Understanding of security best practices for infrastructure.

Job description

You will manage and automate a large global server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and resilience of critical platform services.

Your tasks

• Oversee and optimize a rapidly expanding global network of thousands of servers
• Design and implement automation systems ensuring 99.95%+ uptime
• Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshooting complex technical issues across network environments
• Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting systems for real-time infrastructure visibility
• Engineer solutions to improve connectivity, stability, performance, scalability, security and resilience

What you bring

• Knowledge of Linux operating system internals, networking stack, and kernel tuning
• Strong experience with Kubernetes orchestration and infrastructure as code tools
• Python proficiency for developing automation tools and operational scripts
• Ability to design highly available and complex distributed scalable systems architecture
• Hands-on experience with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Understanding of security principles and best practices for infrastructure
