Try&Hire seeks an infrastructure engineer to manage a global server fleet and drive automation for high availability. You will design scalable systems, implement monitoring with VictoriaMetrics and Grafana, and ensure 99.95%+ uptime in challenging network environments.

On-call rotations, real-time visibility, and security-focused improvements across UDP/TCP/IP and VPNs like OpenVPN and WireGuard are core. On-site position in Geneva with potential for a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale server infrastructure and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Debian-based systems and NFtables.
• Proficient in Python-based automation and monitoring tooling.
• Familiarity with VPNs and secure connectivity practices.

This role manages and optimizes a global server infrastructure, building automation and monitoring systems to ensure high availability and resilience in adversarial network environments.

Your tasks

• Oversee and optimize a rapidly expanding global network of thousands of servers
• Design and implement automation systems ensuring 99.95%+ uptime
• Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshooting technical challenges across network environments
• Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting systems for real-time infrastructure visibility
• Engineer solutions to improve connectivity, stability, performance, scalability and security

What you bring

• Knowledge of Debian/Linux internals, including NFtables, networking stack and kernel tuning
• Experience with orchestration and automation using Ansible or similar tools
• Python proficiency for automation tools and operational scripts
• Hands-on experience with monitoring solutions like VictoriaMetrics and Grafana
• Understanding of security principles and best practices for infrastructure
• Understanding of UDP and TCP/IP protocols is a plus
• Experience with VPN protocols such as OpenVPN and WireGuard is a plus
