Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in Switzerland to own the technical sales cycle for enterprise data, AI, and ML platforms. You will design, demonstrate, and present solutions, working closely with Account Managers to convey business value and secure engagements.

The role emphasizes Generative AI, hybrid data platforms, and enterprise data governance, with opportunities to engage in external evangelism and conference appearances.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing role, ideally in pre-sales for data platforms.
• Ability to translate complex data/AI concepts into strategic business value.
• Fluent German language skills.
• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales for data, ML, and AI platform solutions.
• Support customers by identifying use cases for Cloudera technologies, with a focus on Generative AI and MLOps.
• Design solutions using Cloudera tech based on reference architectures and patterns.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customers to say yes.
• Partner with Account Managers to show the business and technical value of a solution.
