Job summary

Aerospace manufacturing is seeking a senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide technical expertise in material selection, manufacturing processes, qualification, and optimization for composite aerospace components.

You will lead cross-functional technical projects, drive design for manufacturing and Design to Cost, and oversee process qualification, including non-destructive inspection and failure analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in process development, optimization and material qualification
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in process development, optimization and material qualification
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles
• Experience developing tooling and equipment including jigs, fixtures and automation solutions
• Comfortable working with CAD tools and technical documentation systems
• Understanding of MES and ERP systems such as SAP
