Job summary

Try&Hire is seeking a senior engineer to provide technical leadership in materials selection and manufacturing processes for composite aerospace components. The role emphasizes developing and optimizing processes, solving root causes, and driving cost-effective manufacturing improvements.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional projects, qualify materials and processes, and develop documentation such as process specs and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Degree in materials, mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience in process development, optimization and material qualification.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles.
• Experience developing tooling and equipment including jigs, fixtures and automation solutions.
• Comfortable working with CAD tools and technical documentation systems.
• Understanding of MES and ERP systems such as SAP.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in process development, optimization and material qualification
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles
• Experience developing tooling and equipment including jigs, fixtures and automation solutions
• Comfortable working with CAD tools and technical documentation systems
• Understanding of MES and ERP systems such as SAP
