Job summary

Beyond Gravity is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical expertise in composite aerospace manufacturing, lead process development, and optimize cost and manufacturability. You will collaborate with engineering, production, quality and project teams to ensure robust solutions.

You will drive qualification activities, develop tooling and automation solutions, and mentor colleagues while promoting Lean practices and design for manufacturing across programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in a high-technology industrial environment.
• Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience in process development, optimization, material qualification, technical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design to Cost (DtC).
• Experience developing tooling and equipment, including jigs, fixtures and automation solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, update manufacturing instructions, conduct root-cause analysis and manage non-conformities.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working with CAD tools and documentation systems; understands MES, SAP, and digital manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in material selection and manufacturing processes across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement.
• Lead root-cause investigations and define corrective actions.
• Drive design for manufacturing and cost optimization.
• Lead material and process qualification activities.
• Develop technical documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
• Support product development and production introduction with manufacturing input.
• Lead cross-functional technical projects with defined deliverables, schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to technical audits and compliance; identify gaps and follow-up.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing to improve flow and efficiency.
• Support technical proposals, risk assessments and early-stage concepts.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues across disciplines.
