Job summary

Aerospace manufacturing in Zürich seeks a hands-on engineer to plan, coordinate and review MAIT work, serving as the interface between production and project management.

You will organize tasks across Manufacturing Readiness Review to Delivery Review Board, report status to the project manager and support manufacturability reviews.

A university or technical college degree, 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, and solid MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• University or technical college degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 1–3 years hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, aerospace preferred.
• Strong planning and communication skills; MS Office proficient.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and review MAIT work.
• Coordinate tasks from Manufacturing Readiness Review to Delivery Review Board until customer handover.
• Report manufacturing and integration status to the project manager.
• Lead the integration and tooling development.
• Support design reviews for manufacturability and design-to-cost in early phases.
• Review manufacturing documents such as part drawings, assembly drawings and BOM.
• Drive troubleshooting in production and act as first contact for assembly and test technicians.

Tasks

• Plan, coordinate and review project work in Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing (MAIT)
• Coordinate tasks from Manufacturing Readiness Review to Delivery Review Board until customer handover
• Report manufacturing and integration status to the project manager
• Lead the integration and alignment concept and associated tooling development
• Support design reviews for manufacturability and design-to-cost in early phases
• Review manufacturing documents such as part drawings, assembly drawings and bill of material
• Drive troubleshooting in production and act as first contact for assembly and test technicians

Profile

• University degree or technical college degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar
• 1-3 years of hands‑on engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally aerospace or space
• Hands-on mentality with good planning and communication skills
• Customer- and product-oriented mindset
• Enjoys interdisciplinary work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and product assurance
• Good knowledge of MS Office
