Job summary

Aerospace manufacturing is seeking a senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide technical expertise in material selection, manufacturing processes, qualification, and optimization for composite aerospace components.

You will lead cross-functional technical projects, drive design for manufacturing and Design to Cost, and oversee process qualification, including non-destructive inspection and failure analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in process development, optimization and material qualification
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in material selection and manufacturing processes
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and translate production feedback into improvements
• Lead root-cause investigations and define corrective and preventive actions
• Drive design for manufacturing and cost optimization
• Lead material and process qualification including non-destructive inspection and failure analysis
• Develop technical documentation such as process specifications and work instructions
• Lead cross-functional technical projects, managing priorities, schedules and budgets
