Lever, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/Python) based in Switzerland to build backend and AI-enabled systems for an automotive technology platform.

You will design, develop, and operate scalable web services and APIs, applying microservices, CQRS, and distributed systems patterns. You will collaborate with AI engineers, product, frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable production services, mentor teammates, and evolve engineering standards in a remote-friendly, modern tech

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating production-grade web services.
• Strong CS fundamentals and knowledge of distributed computing challenges.
• Proven experience with Node.js/TypeScript and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with scalable architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, CQRS).
• Hands-on containerization/orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL); NoSQL like MongoDB an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and operate scalable web services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Own AI-enabled backend solutions and integrate AI tooling into production services.
• Make high-level architectural decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Build and maintain production-grade RESTful APIs with proper auth, versioning, and rate limiting.
• Develop distributed systems using microservices, event-driven patterns, and CQRS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and quality.
• Mentor teammates, codify standards, and promote best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with AI, product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and partners to deliver impactful solutions.
