Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (f/m/x) based in Europe to build and operate internal AI infrastructure. You will drive production-grade AI tooling, governance, and scalable platforms in a remote-first environment with ownership and high impact.

You will collaborate with technology leadership to turn AI strategy into practical, secure solutions, enabling other teams to adopt AI in day-to-day work across the organisation.

Qualifikationen

• Significant senior-level experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Ownership of services end-to-end including deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Hands-on experience building AI- or LLM-powered applications for production use.
• Familiarity with modern AI development tools and ecosystems (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Understanding of reusable AI concepts like plugins, MCP integrations, and agent workflows.
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to simplify initiatives and make pragmatic choices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
• Security-conscious mindset: identity, access control, secrets, data handling.

Aufgaben

• Design, deploy, and operate backend services for internal AI apps and workflows.
• Create secure deployment pathways enabling non-engineering teams to launch AI tools with guardrails.
• Build reusable AI capabilities, plugins, MCP connectors, agent workflows, and a central registry.
• Develop company-wide AI services and standard tooling for adoption across the org.
• Evaluate tech options and decide on architecture, models, integrations, and build-versus-buy.
