Qualifikationen

• Proven experience building large-scale backend or data systems with reliability and throughput.
• Takes systems from concept to production: scoping, architecture, release, and operation.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and handling partial failures and backpressure.
• Experience with third-party APIs and external dependencies that are rate-limited.
• Operational ownership via observability, monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
• Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Proficient with AWS and backend stack (TypeScript, Node.js).

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve backend systems for collecting and maintaining 400M+ creator profiles across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Develop reliable data-collection infrastructure with freshness and coverage.
• Design resilient services against third-party API instability and outages.
• Optimize data-collection economics: requests, proxies, retries, storage, compute.
• Define when and how often to collect creators to balance value and cost.
• Own backend systems through design, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Build observability, alerts, and safeguards to detect failures and data-quality issues.
• Collaborate with data, search, product, and engineering teams for interfaces.
• Evaluate approaches via production experiments considering throughput and scale.
• Contribute to engineering standards and architectural decisions.
