Job summary

KITRO is seeking an HR Intern to support HR Operations and Talent Acquisition during a high-growth period. This hands-on role covers systems, documentation, onboarding/offboarding, people cycles, and recruitment coordination in a fast-growing food-w waste reduction startup.

You will work with the Head of HR and team to ensure smooth processes, consistent employee experience, and well-organised hiring activities.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in HR, Business, Psychology, Hospitality Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills and comfort with digital tools (spreadsheets, HR or ATS systems, Google Workspace).
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple small tasks, follow checklists, and ask for clarification when needed.
• High sense of ownership, reliability, and attention to detail, especially with confidential data.
• Strong alignment with KITRO’s mission to reduce food waste and passion for sustainability, hospitality, or food-tech.

Responsibilities

• People operations support, keep employee data accurate and organised in HR systems (Personio and related tools).
• Support day-to-day HR administration, letters, templates, and audit-ready records.
• Payroll & time tracking support, tracking hours and timesheets, follow-ups with employees and managers.
• Prepare basic overviews of monthly changes for payroll input under guidance.
• Coordinate regular people rhythms like quarterly team meetings and engagement surveys.
• Support internal communications and small recognition initiatives to reinforce KITRO’s culture.
