Job summary

Swissquote is seeking an Associate Director for New Client Onboarding to lead end-to-end onboarding of corporate and institutional clients across Gland and Zurich, ensuring regulatory compliance, data accuracy, and service level targets. You will manage the team and align delivery with BRM standards.

You will collaborate with Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal, drive process improvements, and participate in meetings as needed, while mentoring staff and shaping a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in client onboarding, KYC/AML, or compliance ops.
• Experience in a leadership or team-leading role.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA, AMLA, CDB).
• Excellent communication in English and French; German is a plus.
• Ability to prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operational and people management aspects of the New Client Onboarding team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with strategic objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end client onboarding workflows, ensuring regulatory requirements, data accuracy, and service level commitments.
• Actively lead transformation initiatives aimed at process optimization and continuous improvement across the function.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex or novel cases while guiding the team with timely decisions.
• Serve as a trusted partner to Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal to uphold risk and regulatory standards.
• As needed, participate in client or prospect meetings to discuss complex cases.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance management to maintain a motivated, high-performing team.
• Coach and mentor team members to support their skill development and career growth.
