Job summary

Swissquote is seeking an Associate Director for New Client Onboarding to lead the end-to-end onboarding of corporate and institutional clients across Gland and Zurich, ensuring regulatory compliance, accuracy, and service targets.

Reporting to the Vice-Director and Deputy Head of BRM, you will oversee team operations and people management, aligning delivery with BRM standards and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ track record in client onboarding, KYC/AML, or compliance operations within financial services.
• Previous leadership or team-lead experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA, AMLA, CDB) and onboarding due diligence standards.
• Very good understanding of client onboarding processes and risk classification.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate operational priorities to technical teams; excellent interpersonal and presentation skills in English and French; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operational and people management aspects of the New Client Onboarding team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with strategic objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end client onboarding workflows, ensuring regulatory requirements, data accuracy, and service level commitments.
• Lead transformation initiatives for process optimization, productivity gains, and simplification of procedures.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex or novel cases and guide your team accordingly.
• Serve as a trusted partner to Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal, ensuring sustainable growth while upholding standards.
• Participate in client or prospect meetings to discuss complex cases when necessary.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance management to maintain a motivated team.
• Coach and mentor team members, supporting skill development and career growth.
