Job summary

MoonLake Immunotherapeutics AG in Switzerland seeks a Director of Business Intelligence to partner with the Commercial organization, turning market, patient, payer and competitive insights into actions that accelerate launch readiness and optimize performance.

You will lead BI, integrate primary market research, claims data, and competitive intelligence to guide brand strategy, go-to-market planning, market access, and investment decisions across marketing, analytics and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Business, Science, Economics, Statistics, Life Sciences or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience delivering strategy and insights for Lifesciences industry.
• Experience supporting pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases of a specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the BI strategy to support launch readiness, commercial planning, and long-term brand growth.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative market research programmes to generate actionable insights across HCPs, patients, payers, and other key stakeholders.
• Translate insights into strategic recommendations that shape brand strategy, positioning, segmentation, customer engagement, market access, and go-to-market decisions.
• Build and maintain patient journey, customer segmentation, and market landscape frameworks to identify opportunities and barriers to adoption.
• Lead competitive intelligence activities, proactively assessing market, clinical, access, and commercial developments and their implications for the brand.
• Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, and Analytics teams to ensure insights are embedded into business planning and decision-making.
• Develop launch readiness metrics and commercial KPIs, monitoring market dynamics and brand performance to guide strategic actions.
• Leverage primary research, secondary data, claims data, and analytics to understand prescriber behaviour, treatment patterns, patient flows, and market opportunities.
• Identify new data sources, analytical approaches, and insight-generation opportunities that enhance commercial decision-making.
• Lead vendor selection, market research partnerships, budget management, and project governance to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing key business and investment decisions.
• Ensure all business intelligence activities are conducted in compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
