Zusammenfassung

BÜCHI Labortechnik AG in Switzerland seeks a Head ICT Operations to lead our global IT landscape. You will own end-to-end IT operations, supervise a distributed team, and partner with the CTO to shape our digital strategy.

You will manage multi‑cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), service desk, security and governance while driving continuous improvement across locations, and oversee IT budgets and vendor contracts.

• Proven ownership of a global service desk and multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Strong ITIL-based service management with DevOps evolution

• Oversee global IT operations including service desk, platforms, physical infrastructure and end-user experience
• Ensure stable, secure and high-performing IT services across locations
• Lead and develop a distributed IT Operations organization with multiple team leads
• Manage the global service model (L1–L3) and drive continuous service improvement
• Own platforms such as Azure, AWS, digital workplace, identity management and connectivity
• Drive security and compliance operations (e.g. vulnerability management)
• Manage external partners, service providers and licensing incl. FinOps
• Own IT Operations budget, KPIs and transparency to leadership

Together with your teams, you ensure that around 800 employees worldwide rely on stable, secure and high-performing digital services, while continuously improving how these services are delivered. What skills do you need to bring?

• 10+ years of experience in IT, including several years leading global IT operations or infrastructure organizations
• Proven ownership of a global service desk and complex, multi-cloud platform landscapes (Azure, AWS)
• Track record of running customer-facing or product-adjacent operational platforms (e.g. SaaS, IoT, connected products)
• Strong service management foundation (e.g. ITIL) with the ability to evolve operations towards modern, DevOps-driven models
• Hands-on experience across core infrastructure domains: identity (Microsoft Entra ID), end-point management, networking/SD-WAN, security operations and observability
• Demonstrated success managing strategic vendors and contracts at scale
• Excellent stakeholder management; able to translate between executive business language and deep technical detail
• Fluent English required; German is a strong advantage
