Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, a luxury hotel on the banks of the Rhône, is seeking a Floor Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. Based at the property, you will ensure cleanliness standards, manage subordinates, and maintain safety and guest service aligned with 5-star hospitality.

You should have previous housekeeping experience, strong communication, flexibility, and a valid Swiss work permit or EU passport.

• Report suspicious behavior or unusual objects to management.
• Participate in the training of new subordinates and the ongoing training of others.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Organize the work of subordinates.
• Welcome and serve customers according to 5-star hospitality standards.
• Handle customer complaints according to the LQE procedure and refer to management.

About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, the Floor Supervisor reports directly to the Head Housekeeper.

As a Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for :

• Maintain cleanliness standards
• Distribute and control keys
• Handle lost property
• Respond promptly to customer requests
• Be responsible for safety by ensuring that corridors and offices are tidy so that they do not obstruct emergency exits
• Be responsible for customer safety: report suspicious behavior or unusual objects, etc.
• Participate in the training of new subordinates and the ongoing training of others
• Ensure smooth shift transitions
• Organize the work of subordinates
• Welcome and serve customers according to the hospitality principles of a 5-star hotel, in line with the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental Group and Swiss Deluxe.
• Handle customer complaints according to the LQE procedure and refer complaints and all customer comments to management.
• Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in "Our Commitments.

As Floor Supervisor we expect from you:
