Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Geneva is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the Ottolenghi department. Based at the Geneva property, you will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional service, supervising a team of about twenty colleagues, and maintaining HACCP standards during all services.

You will train servers on the Infrasis POS, manage staff schedules, and actively seek customer feedback to drive satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hotel or fine dining is preferred.
• Strong teamwork, curiosity and willingness to learn.

About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within theOttolenghi Department, theAssistantRestaurant Manageris responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the management of the restaurant, ensuring the smooth running of the service and customer satisfaction for all services provided, in accordance with quality standards, HACCP hygiene standards, and procedures in force within the hotel, and supervising a team of around twenty employees.

AsAssistantRestaurant Manager, you willbe responsible for:

• Participate in the development of schedules based on planned activity.
• Have the necessary knowledge and skills of the Infrasis POS, be able to train/assist servers in the use of the system and apply the necessary controls.
• Assistsubordinates in service.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by visiting them during their meal.
• Forward customer comments on food and service to the Restaurant Manager and Chef Ottolenghi
• Respond to specific customer requests as necessary
• Handle customer complaints and comments
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills (interpersonal skills) to build customer loyalty
• Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’

AsAssistantRestaurant Managerwe expect from you:

• A passion forserviceand attention to detail.
• Previousmanagement and serviceexperience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
• Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
• Good communicationskills and a flexible attitude.
• Fluency in English and French, another European language is a plus.
• A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport.
