Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is seeking a Concierge to join our Front of House team. Based at our Zurich property, the Concierge delivers personalized and exceptional services, handling guest requests efficiently and in line with our standards.

You will maintain city knowledge, offer recommendations, manage arrivals and departures, and coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Candidates should have upscale hotel experience and fluent German and English.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in upscale hotels is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in German and English are essential.

• Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about city highlights.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Front of House Department in Zurich, the Concierge is responsible for delivering personalized and exceptional Concierge services to our guests, ensuring that all guest requests and arrangements are handled efficiently and in accordance with the hotel’s objectives, performance and quality standards. The Concierge reports to the Assistant Head Concierge and the Front of House Manager.

As Concierge, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Have an in‑depth knowledge of directions, travel time, cost and various forms of transportation
• Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about city highlights
• Offering professional and personalized recommendations with thorough research to our guests
• Complying with the Legendary Quality Service Standards
• Monitoring arrivals, departures and stayovers to handle guest requests and complaints with specific, personalized attention to our guests
• Handling and follow up comments, enquiries and guest complaints from internal and external customers, ensuring that they are dealt with until full guest satisfaction is reached
• Encouraging efficient and effective inter‑departmental communication to promote a climate of teamwork and motivation

As Concierge, we expect from you:

• Substantial experience in upscale hotels
• Quality driven with a passion for excellence
• Excellent forward planning and decision‑making skills
• Organizational skills, high level of integrity and professionalism, reliable, courteous and with a good presentation
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, be enthusiastic and have initiative
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal inGerman and English
