Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking a Shipping Officer to organize and coordinate import/export transport worldwide by road, air, sea, and rail. You will handle shipments including chemicals and regulated goods, ensuring safe, compliant operations and providing expert guidance to CERN users.

You will manage requests, prepare quotations, and maintain documentation while ensuring timely delivery and continuous process improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Some experience in organising international transport operations.
• Some exposure to Incoterms® and their application in international trade and transport.
• Some experience in writing clear and structured procedures and work instructions.

Aufgaben

• Review, correct, and validate transport requests, and organise import and export shipments by road, air, sea, and rail.
• Ensure compliance with transport, customs, and dangerous goods regulations, and prepare and verify transport and customs documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
• Advise CERN users on transport and logistics solutions, prepare transport quotations, and recommend the most suitable shipping options.
• Verify and approve transport invoices, and resolve transport issues, claims, and delivery disputes.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to users' transport-related enquiries.
• Support continuous improvement of shipping processes and logistics tools.
