Job title: Business Systems Analyst CAD Platforms

Location: 100% Remote, Canada

Experience: 5+ Years

NearSource is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support a global leader in the software industry. In this role, you will translate visual design specifications into clear and actionable user stories that drive platform consistency and developer productivity. You will work directly with engineering, product management, and experience design teams to support the delivery of high quality software solutions.

• Partner with product management and experience design to define clear and actionable user stories for engineering teams
• Break down higher level requirements into initiatives, epics, and user stories aligned with platform goals
• Interpret detailed visual designs and elaborate user stories with precision
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to plan and prepare upcoming sprints based on priorities
• Maintain a healthy backlog with a consistent pipeline of user stories aligned to team velocity
• Ensure requirements are clearly defined, validated, and ready for development across distributed teams

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile software development environment
• Proficient in translating visual specifications from tools like Figma into acceptance criteria
• Experience working with Design Systems, including UI components, design tokens, and multi-platform system implementations
• Hands-on experience with projects involving web, mobile, and desktop applications
• Strong understanding and successful application of Scrum methodologies
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences
• Strong collaboration skills while working with distributed, cross-functional teams
• Strong planning and dependency management capabilitiesCommitment to delivering a best-in-class customer and developer experience

• Experience building platform-centric solutions
• Familiarity with Jira, Figma, Confluence, and Slack
• Experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549
• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
