A global insurance company in Toronto is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and relevant accounting experience, preferably in insurance or financial services. This position offers remote work options and is contract-based.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 24 years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
