Universities and Colleges must adapt to this changing profile of learners by focusing on flexible, employer-driven and digital-first programming.

To achieve this mission, we’re looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join the Boreal team. This person will be developing the applications, websites and courses for our first programs, laying our foundation for our students’ success and our company growth.

We’re leading the Canadian post-secondary sector to create and market online programs that put the learner at the centre and transform communities along the way. This role helps us accomplish that collective mission.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Front-End Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly websites, courses and applications that showcase the quality of the programs we support. You will leverage your experience building well-designed responsive websites and collaborate with the rest of the Boreal team on course build and other web applications.

You will make an impact by :

• Partnering with Instructional Designers to develop custom coded web elements into online course materials
• Partnering with Marketing team to build easy-to-use and high performing websites, microsites and landing pages in Drupal and WordPress from mockups.
• Ensuring all accessibility standards are met, as set out by our University Partners.
• Communicating project milestones to marketing, course development and partner teams.
• Conducting regular updates, including troubleshooting and bug fixes across multiple integrations.

We are a remote-first company based in Toronto, meaning we trust that you do your best work at home. We meet up in the GTA for social events and three times per year for team-wide offsites.
