A prominent cultural institution in Ottawa seeks a Communications Strategist for its French Theatre. The role involves developing compelling content, communication strategies, and overseeing the performance of these efforts to enhance national awareness. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and superior French language skills. Understanding of social media and project management is essential.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Strategist, French Theatre, is responsible for the overall storytelling for the NAC’s French Theatre. A strong writer and content creator, the Communications Strategist will also oversee the development, production and implementation of communications strategies, online stories, web content, social media, and media relations to increase awareness of programs and special projects among its key stakeholders, target audiences, and Canadians in the National Capital Region (NCR) and across the country.
Working in close collaboration with the NAC’s French Theatre team, the Communications Strategist will plan and create content and stories for dissemination through various channels, including the NAC website, newsletters, social media, reports, and targeted communications to stakeholders.
The Communications Strategist will report regularly on the impact of their work, including results with earned media, and social media and web content performance to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.
