The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN collaborates in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual aspects. Demonstrates accountability for ongoing awareness of the status of assigned patients and collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition.
The staff RN is responsible for providing care to patients, collaborating in the formulation of the overall plan of care, identifying needs and problems specific to various aspects of patient health, and demonstrating accountability for the status of assigned patients. The RN collects and documents relevant data as necessary.
3 years of acute care RN experience required. Must be able to float to 3 units - L&D. Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are required. NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
