Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Ksyen Regional Hospital.

Provides and coordinates nursing care according to current standards of nursing practice and the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency Care Nursing. Clinical experience to independently work in Emergency is required.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Ksyen Regional Hospital

The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. It is more than double the size of the previous hospital, featuring 82 beds, private rooms, and serving as a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Minimum two (2) years of medical/surgical experience and/or Post Diploma Certificate in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing and/or equivalent experience and training. Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care Training will be expected to enroll in a relevant course within 6 months of employment.
  • CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within 1 year.
