Public Works & Parks Laborer I (Auxiliary)
Job summary
A community-focused municipality in British Columbia is seeking a Parks and Public Works Labourer I to perform general labouring tasks for maintenance and construction. Candidates should possess Grade 10 or equivalent, and relevant experience in maintenance or construction work. The role involves considerable physical effort and requires operation of various tools, working in a team environment. Competitive wage of $30.55/hour plus 14% benefits is offered for this full-time position.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 or equivalent, supplemented by demonstrated aptitude for maintenance and construction work.
- Experience in maintenance and construction in public works or parks service environment.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine unskilled and limited semi-skilled general labouring work.
- Maintenance and construction of roads, sidewalks, sewers, and parks.
- Operating a variety of tools and equipment.
