The Office of University Relations at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Manager, Communications and Marketing.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Communications and Marketing, the Manager, Communications and Marketing provides strategic advice to build and protect the reputation and brand of Mount Saint Vincent University. The role leads a number of communications and marketing strategies, including the annual student recruitment marketing strategy, digital strategy (website and social media), and brand strategy, as well as provides storytelling and creative asset oversight and developmentwith the purpose of assisting the University in sharing information; building awareness, understanding and support for University initiatives; and recruiting and retaining students, faculty and staff. This role is also responsible for ensuring print and digital communication is accessible, and that an EDIA lens is applied across all channels and platforms. The responsibilities of this position are deadline-driven and the work is complex, given the range of internal and external stakeholders, competitive recruitment environment and quickly changing nature of the primary target audience (students), and shifts in communications and marketing approaches and trends.
About You
As the ideal candidate, you have an undergraduate degree in public relations, communications or marketing and a minimum of five years of related work experience in marketing, communications, social media, and project management and measurement.You have superior interpersonal and communications skills.
You are a creative and motivated team player and leader and independent thinker, with an interest and experience in marketing, online communications and social media. You have strong writing, editing and project management skills, including experience in budget management and measurement against objectives. You have a proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and expertise in working with agency partners to achieve results. You also have experience in managing projects and staff as this role has a direct report.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PDF), and social media. Previous experience with website content management systems, Google Analytics, social media measurement and key performance indicators reporting is considered an asset.
You are comfortable managing multiple requests and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to develop solutions.You are committed to continuous improvement, are results-oriented and always anticipate what’s next.
Salary : $69,647 per annum [Step Progression : $69,647 to $84,736]
