Job summary
A retail company in Southwestern Ontario is looking for a manager to supervise staff, assign duties, and manage inventory. You will be responsible for hiring and training personnel, authorizing payments, and preparing sales reports. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience and a high school graduation certificate. This is a permanent position offering 35 hours of work per week.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in retail or a related field.
- Ability to hire, train, and supervise staff effectively.
- Experience in sales and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff including apprentices and sales workers.
- Assign duties and manage training of staff.
- Authorize financial transactions and manage inventory.
Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Authorize payments by cheque
- Order merchandise
- Authorize return of merchandise
