A global automotive leader is seeking a Co-Op Engineer to join their Data Engineering organization in Markham. This hybrid role involves developing software pipelines and configuration files for vehicle data systems. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in related fields and possess a strong foundation in software development principles. The position offers an opportunity to work on innovative data-driven projects within the automotive industry.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre or Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum [depending on stakeholder needs]. Occasional travel within Canada may be required.

The Role
The Data Engineering organization at General Motors is driving innovation by harnessing data to shape the future of mobility. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of software pipelines that configure the behavior of vehicle data recording systems, including both the Control and Data planes. This position requires a solid foundation in software development principles and strong collaboration skills to work effectively across diverse engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for data-driven systems, and experience in managing and scaling data flows.
