Job Location : Remote with travel across Canada and the U.S.

In-Office, Hybrid or Remote : Primarily remote, with required travel to client sites and project meetings.

Working hours : Full-time (Independent Contractor)

What the Client Offers : 80,000 to $90,000 CAD annually (Independent Contractor)

Our client is an established supplier of specialized electrical equipment across North America, with a focus on transformers and substation solutions. They serve clients in the energy, data center, and infrastructure industries and are known for delivering tailored, high-performance systems with technical precision.

We\u2019re hiring a Project Manager to lead the Engineering and Project groups within a growing transformer division. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the technical and operational execution of complex transformer-related projects while acting as a key liaison across internal and external teams. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering, solid project management capabilities, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

• Oversee engineering and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of transformer projects
• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and communication across departments
• Manage stakeholder expectations, reporting progress to executive leadership and clients
• Review technical specifications and ensure engineering solutions align with project goals
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and quality protocols
• Facilitate site visits, client meetings, and coordination with external vendors as needed
• Identify project risks and actively manage mitigation strategies

Required :

• Must be based in Canada
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3–5+ years of project management experience in an engineering or technical environment
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S.

Preferred :

• Prior experience working with transformers or substation equipment
• PMP certification or formal project management training
• Experience managing remote technical teams
